The Membership Director
announced the new members and corporate sponsors. He also stated that the chapter has over 300
members, including our corporate sponsor members.
For the third consecutive
year, the Minnesota Chapter is partnering with ISC2 and
A study group is also being

Scholarship program
The chapter has a college
scholarship program for the children of members who are high school seniors or
in their first 4 years of college.
Applications are due no later than
The chapter is providing
members a shirt with the chapter logo. A
sample of the shirt was shown at the meeting.

Future Meeting Topics
The chapter President asked if members would be interested in a presentation on the Sarbanes Oxley Act and how it impacts security professionals. He also asked if members would be interested in a vendor panel for spam filtering. A show of hands for each topic indicated that members were not interested.
CPE credits for attending
The board has decided they
will not submit attendance records from the chapter meetings and members need
should submit their own information for CPE’s.
The board will continue to have sign-up sheets at each chapter meetings
and keep those sheets for 3 years in case they are needed for future
verification to ISC2.
There is a Homeland Security
Conference that will be held October 23 – 24 in
Chapter President,
Nomination
for Professional of the Year.
Rick Ensenbach was nominated
by the chapter for the
Chapter President,
Volunteers were needed to
audit the chapter’s financial records.
Two chapter members volunteered.
The election for 3 Board
member positions will be at the November chapter meeting.. The positions are: President, Vice President and Recording
Secretary.
Anyone who would also like
to run for a Board position can send an e-mail to an
current Board member. International
election guidelines will be followed.
