ISSA - Minnesota Chapter Meeting Minutes

Meeting was opened by President, Kelley Archer

* Welcome

* The posters from the Dunwoody poster contest that were displayed at the January meeting are out on the MN ISSA web site. They are free for anyone to use.

* Look for annual poster contest within the chapter

* Job postings- contact Kelley Archer is you are interested in finding out more about the current job postings. Also go to the MN ISSA web site.

* Shavlik Technologies was thanked for hosting the CISSP study group

* The Chapter Board of Directors is working on a recruiter sponsorship program to post non-sponsor, non-member positions available. The will be on web site when the program is initiated.

* The Chapter Scholarship winner is Kristy Logan. She has a 3.75 GPA at Minnetonka High School and has been on the Dean’s list for the past 3 semesters. She will be attending UW-Oshkosh this fall.

* The ISFA is an international organization out of Atlanta, focusing on computer forensics. The Minnesota chapter will be partnering with our ISSA Chapter. The ISFA Chapter meetings will be held in the opposite month of the ISSA Chapter meetings. The next ISFA meeting will be 4/15. The ISFA is also developing a certification (CIFI) encompassing 6 common bodies of knowledge and the local chapter will be bringing the classes to Minnesota. Web site is www.mn-isfa.org.

* Members of the Chapter Board have offered to make presentations about the importance of security to your management if that is something that would be helpful to you. Contact Kelley Archer or Rick Ensenbach.

* The Membership Director, John Ford, announced the new members and corporate sponsors. He also announced members that have long-standing membership with ISSA.
