ISSA Minnesota Chapter Meeting

President, Kelley Archer opened the meeting    

  • The 2005 Spring Conference will have 2 tracks this year, ISSA and ISFA.  Dates of the conference are 5/17 and 5/18 and will be held at the Ramada Thunderbird conference center.  Look for information on the Chapter web site.
  • Announcement of the Chapter’s annual scholarship award of $1000.  Application forms can be found on the Chapter web site.  An email will also be sent soon.
  • Presentation of recognition plaques for service and awards
  • Dave Hedblom – past Program Director
  • Jayne Logan – Past President
  • Cindy Brockman (Schroeder) – past Communications Director
  • Phil Vaughn – BOD – past Marketing Director
  • Rick Ensenbach – 2003 Security Profession of the Year.
  • No one was nominated for the 2004 Security Professional of the Year award.  Kelley challenged all members to submit recommendations for the 2005 award.
  • CISSP class will be held in March and the exam will be held in – see the Chapter web site for information and sign-up.
  • The look of the Chapter web site will be changing in the near future.  A calendar of events has also been added and will be expanded.

 

Membership Director, John Ford

  • Acknowledged the Corporate Sponsors.  New sponsors are Enforce and McAfee.  Net IQ is signing up.
  • Acknowledged members with continuous membership for 10 years or more.
