Meeting Minutes

Welcome visitors and members

New elected Board members are:

Reminder of Health Care and Security Awareness SIGs – see chapter website for information.

Security professional of year winner will be announced at January meeting.

Chapter scholarships – Chapter will start taking applications in January 2007 and scholarships will be awarded in April 2007..  Scholarships are for students going into the IT field.  See details on chapter website.

Secure 360 conference will be held in May 21-27, 2007 at the River Center in St. Paul.  www.secure360.com.  Website will have more updated information in January.  Vendors and attendees can start to register at that time.

Looking for volunteers to help with Secure360.  Volunteers will get free admission and tasks will be coordinated by UMSA committee.  Talk to Rick Ensenbach or Kelley Archer if interested.

Corporate sponsors, please update your employees and get members updated – talk to Andrew Blair.

Chapter Board has an opening for Webmaster/Communications Director.  This can be one position or two separate positions.  If interested, contact Rick Ensenbach

New meeting facilities – in search of new facilities.  Polled attending members for interest in having meetings in downtown Minneapolis if parking was free.
