Opened meeting.

Introduced Board members.

Thanked our corporate sponsors for their support.

Announced the SIGs’ for health care businesses (HSPIG) and Security Awareness. Requested chapter members to make Security Professional of the Year nominations. Requests are due by 10/1.

Chapter scholarships available – 4 of them. Go to website for applications.

Secure360 conference for May 2007 is being planned. UMSA consists of 5 groups. ISFA, ISSA, BCP, ISACA, ASIS Go to www.secure360.org watch website for further details.

Keep your contact current with International. Our chapter gets our contact information from them.

Corporate Sponsors – talk to Andrew Blair if you have people to be added to our mailing list.

The meeting sign-in sheets are used for CPE validation for CISSP, so be sure to sign in at each meeting.

Chapter members were encouraged to visit the chapter website for job opportunities, scholarships, chapter meetings, etc. We will be redesigning the website and expect it to be available in early 2007.

The Nominating Committee announced the current nominations for the Vice President and Secretary positions. Linda Zeis was nominated for Secretary. Scott Simonsen was nominated for Vice-President. Both nominations were seconded. The Nominating Committee also polled members for further nominations. Nominations can made until 9/22/06.

Scott St. Aubin is interested in creating a financial services user group. Contact Scott if interested in this SIG.

Andrew Blair – Contact Andrew if have interest in being a corporate sponsor. Andrew also asked for contact information for some of the corporate sponsors as he doesn’t have current information.
