ISSA Minnesota Chapter
Meeting
January 16, 2007
President, Rick Ensenbach opened the meeting.
Items of business:
- Thanked
our corporate sponsors for their support
- Introduced
the Chapter board members
- Announced
Security Professional of the Year – Mary Brown. Awarded plaque to Mary for her
dedication to the Security field.
- Awarded
a Thank you plaque to Kelley Archer for his dedication to the chapter
during his 7 years of serving on the Chapter Board of Directors.
- Summarized
the corporate sponsor meeting held in December. The meeting was successful and the Board
received good feedback from our sponsors.
- Announced
the Health Care SIG
- Secure
360 conference update – Plans are progressing. New website is available. Can register sponsors, exhibitors and
attendees on website. Can’t do
credit cards until end of January. Conference
will be at the River Center is St.
Paul again.
Expecting over 500 attendees and 80 exhibitors. Many other associations with other
domains will participate. The Platinum
sponsor will be Microsoft, Cisco is Diamond and Lucidata
and Milestone are also interested in sponsorship.
- Reminder to keep your ISSA contact information
up-to-date so you receive chapter information.
- Reminder
that scholarship applications are due in April. The applications must be for students
going into the IT field; it does not have to specifically be the security
field. All applications are taken
into consideration. The application
and information are on the chapter website.
- New meeting
location will be the Four Points Sheraton off 35W. Will probably start in July. More information will come later.
- Looking
for 2 people to be on audit committee for chapter.

Acknowledged 24 chapter members who have been members for 10
years or longer. Also
acknowledged 9 people who have been members for 16 years or more. In recognition of long-standing membership, a
drawing for an ISSA jacket was held and David Hedblom
was the winner.
